Good morning friends. Throughout the Revive sermon series, we’ll be looking at how, through Jesus Christ, we can overcome life’s struggles that often make us feel frustrated and hopeless.  In particular, we’ll look at how Jesus Christ enables us to be victorious over death, suffering, self-doubt, fear, anxiety, and the uncertainty of our future.  If life has got you down, then join us every week and get revived! Adapted from “God’s Purpose for My Problems” by Rick Warren

Today I want share with you why things in life is so hard and WAYS GOD USES PROBLEMS TO BLESS MY LIFE: GOD USES PROBLEMS TO DIRECT ME. God uses problems to point me in a new direction, to motivate me to change. Prov. 20:30; 2 Cor. 1:8-11. Ask: "What new direction is this problem leading me to take" ?

Second Point is this GOD USES PROBLEMS TO INSPECT ME. God uses problems to help me see what I’m really like on the inside. Deut. 8:1-2. Ask: What does this problem reveal about me ?

The third thing is that GOD USES PROBLEMS TO CORRECT ME. How does God do this and why? Because people learn more from failures than successes, God uses problems to correct my errors. ( Hebrews 12:7-11) So, the thing you need to be Asking is this: What is this problem teaching me to correct ?

The Fourth thing is GOD USES PROBLEMS TO PROTECT ME. God uses problems to prevent me from getting involved in something more harmful. (2 Cor. 12:7) Ask yourselvesthis: How is this problem protecting me? What is being prevented?

Fifth thing is GOD USES PROBLEMS TO MOLD ME. God uses problems to mold me into the person He wants me to be. ( James 1:2-4; Rom. 5:3-4 ) Ask: How can I grow from this problem ?

Let’s pray. Lord, help us to overcome the pain and problems our lives; as we seek you for help today.
