Sermon Title: "Dance with All Your Might"

Scripture Reading: 2 Samuel 6:1-5, 12-19

DANCE OFF: Let all the children gather in a circle or in a designated area. Play one of the children's songs that they enjoy and let children dance around a circle. When the music stops, the teacher will change songs and tell children to do another dance or change places and dance for another song.

ARK RELAY: Divide the children into teams. Each team can be given a large box to carry as if it was the ARK of the COVENANT. The team can work together as "twos" to carry the "Ark" to the finish line. Then they will run back to the team and 2 more players will run to the finish line and carry the "Ark" back to the team. Continue to play until all players have had an opportunity to carry the Ark, or as time allows. The relay can be changed a little if the teacher desires for the children to retrieve 3 items to place into the Ark, such as 2 stones, a "staff" and some bread (manna).

WORSHIP BRACELET: Each child can be given little lettered beads to spell W-O-R-S-H-I-P. Children can have a plastic string to string the holed lettered beads and use as a necklace or a bracelet.

SCRATCH OFF WORSHIP: Children can be given a piece of construction paper and many color crayons. They can color the paper over and over - many colors and coloring on top of each other. The final color will be BLACK. After children have colored the many colors and black on the top, they can take a pen or toothpick or a craft stick, to write WORSHIP, or ADORE, or PRAISE...and all the colorful colors will come through on the words. Hang the papers of WORSHIP on the classroom wall or door.

ARK OF COVENANT BUILDING: Children can build the ARK together with blocks, or work together to cover a box with gold paper, add stone tracing with 10 commandments written on them by the children, and add some pieces of bread (manna). Children can parade their ARK through other classrooms to tell today's story, if desired.

HAND WORSHIP: Provide children with a piece of paper to draw/trace their hands. Children can take colorful markers to outline their hands/fingers, and write various ways of worshiping Jesus on each finger of the hand. Hang all the hands together on a wall.

FEET PRAISE:
Children can trace their feet and write ways of praising the Lord, using colorful markers, stickers and glitter if desired. Place all the feet in a walking order on the classroom floor for children to remember today's lesson.

TRAFFIC LIGHT: Provide children with a piece of black construction paper and each child will cut out along the traced lines of a circle for three colors - yellow, red and green. After the children have cut out the 3 colored circles, they will glue them onto the black construction paper - one circle above the next circle. Children can use colorful markers to write WORSHIP on one circle,
ADORE on another colored circle and PRAISE on the third circle. Add a magnet to the back so children can hang their traffic lights on the refrigerator.

SING A SONG:
O BE CAREFUL LITTLE HANDS; IF YOU'RE SAVED AND YOU KNOW IT

SHARE A SNACK: PRAISING ARK...The teacher can have a mini "ark" made with many kinds of small wrapped candies. Tell the children this is a Praising Ark and every PRAISE that they can share with the class equals one small candy. Make sure all the children get at least one turn to PRAISE and to receive a candy and if time allows, more can PRAISE the Lord and receive a candy.
