Scripture Reading: Exodus 20:12; Proverbs 6:20; Proverbs 23:25

MOTHER'S POTPOURRI: Give each child a small jar (jam or baby food jar, etc). Let them fill the jar with potpourri. Glue a small round piece of pretty cloth over the top and stick a bow on top. Children can tie a small card that they make for their mom's that says "I LOVE YOU Mom."

MOTHER'S WALL HANGING: Use a flat surface and let the children glue 6 - 10 craft sticks together. (Put wax paper underneath, in case the glue drips through.) Glue a poem or note written by the child (or choices that the teacher can have available), to the craft sticks. Glue a mini bow to the corner and hang by a ribbon. Allow to dry during class time.

MOTHER'S COOKIE: Give each child a large sugar cookie. Let the children to decorate the cookie with frosting and sprinkles to give to their mother on a hand-colored paper plate with a bow glued to the top of the plate! Let the children write a short note to their mother along the edge of the paper plate.

MOTHER'S WIND SOCK: Let the children make a foam windsock with ribbons hanging from the bottom with I LOVE YOU MOM written on the windsock, or the children could make a TUBE WIND SOCK out of construction paper and hang long streamers with words of PRAISE about their moms on the streamers.

MOTHER'S PILLOW: The teacher will give each child a very small pillow for the children to decorate. A banner with words of praise for Mother such as "WORLD'S BEST MOM" can be attached to the pillow and given to mom as a Mother's Day gift.

MOTHER'S SACHETS/SOAPS: Give each child a couple of little sachets or soaps that children can wrap with paper the teacher provides. Children can write a little card with I LOVE YOU MOM, or WORLD'S BEST MOM, etc and attach to the little wrapped gift.

MOTHER'S FLOWERS: Let each child plant a flower or 2 in a mini vase and attach a little I LOVE YOU MOM note to the vase. Glue a little ribbon to the vase for extra beauty.

MOTHER'S CANDY BASKET: Let each child make a small basket out of construction paper and decorate it with stickers and words such as, "I Love You, Mom." Give the children some "Hershey Kisses", or some other small candies in the basket for Mom!
