Sermon Title: "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

Scripture Reading: Mark 10:17-31

Thread the Needle Race:

Use plastic needles and yarn (available at hobby or crafts stores) and have a contest to see who can thread their needle first. You might choose to divide the group into teams and make a relay race out of it. The children will get an idea of how difficult it would be for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle!

"How to Inherit Eternal Life" Grab Bag:

Have a brown paper lunch bag filled with little pieces of paper with different commandments on them. Allow the children to reach into the bag and draw out a piece of paper. Discuss what each of the commandments means and then ask the question, "Would that get us into the Kingdom of God?"

When all of the commandments have been discussed, introduce a second paper bag with each piece of paper saying, "FOLLOW ME" - JESUS. Discuss what it means to follow Jesus.

Walking In His Steps:

Make feet out of construction paper and put them around the hallway, classroom or the auditorium for the class members to follow... just as a reminder to FOLLOW HIM!
